Love and Sorrow
True love is an extension of, what the mind perceives.
The smell, the taste, the memories, of that which we believe.
A time, a place, some minor thing, can bring ones eyes to tears.
When love that’s lost, you pay the cost, despair is always near.
The gentleness that once was held, so tightly in your heart.
Is missing now, the screaming sound of silence ever haunts.
True love is not a simple thing, it’s hard to let it pass.
A test of will, stupidity, or stubbornness that lasts.
In years gone by we’ll wonder, what it was that went so wrong.
A voice inside knows foolish pride, silenced true love's song.
Could it all have been set right, two simple words unsaid?
Two words so hard to utter, keep pounding in my head.
Three words, when said, can cause such joy, your heart begins to
sing.
Two words not said cause agony, such sorrow they can bring.
Three words when said can lift the heart, true love can be
renewed.
You’ll find it’s not so hard to do, I’ll say that I LOVE YOU
Two words can rip the heart apart, if pride stands in the
way.
I'M SORRY for the pain I caused is not so hard to say.
