ANTICIPATION
The grass grows green, so
thick and tall, with each summer rain that falls.
The flowers bloom till darkness looms and night begins to call.
The light is pushed aside to make such eerie sights and sounds.
Till morning breaks and shatters all the darkness that surrounds.
In early morn a glowing orb, rises up so high
The flowers seem to reach and stretch, grasping for the sky.
The birds that sing, the wind that blows, the nectar soft and sweet.
We walk along our hearts in song, soft earth beneath our feet.
Each day with you is like a dream, a song you can’t forget.
Each day without your loving touch, bring feelings of unrest.
Sometimes there seems no end insight, such loneliness abounds.
Sometimes I see your loving smile, your loveliness astounds.
We walk along the moonlit shore together hand in hand.
We look upon the starry night, lie down upon the sand.
