Poetry can be a wonderful way to express romance to your loved one.   You can often say things in love poems that you cannot seem to find a way to say normally.  Sometimes my sweetheart writes a love poem for me and leaves it out for me to find, perhaps by the coffeepot, or under my pillow.   What a nice surprise to find beautiful sentiments of someone's love for you, especially when it's unexpected.  Love poems can be mailed or even emailed to your sweetheart.  Reading about how someone feels about you can be extremely romantic.  Knowing that they took the time to find that perfect poem or to write one just for you makes it even more special.  Love poems can also become physical keepsakes that you may treasure for the rest of your life. When my son was getting married, a friend of mine wrote a wedding poem about marriage vows with the names of the bride and groom inscribed.  My friend printed it out in the shape of a heart and framed it with a white silk background.  It was such a beautiful and personal gift!  I'm sure that each time they read it, memories of that special day are recalled and enhanced. They can't help but think of their wedding and the promise of love and commitment that they made to each other.  We have included this poem, " Pledge" here for your enjoyment.  Please look through our collection of original love poems  and see if any will stir some romantic feelings or bring up fond memories for you.  Our poems are original and copy written by D.
